Privacy Policy

Newdea respects your privacy.

We have developed this privacy policy to describe how we use and protect the information that you share with us. We know you trust us to provide the tools for achieving responsible and accountable philanthropy, and we want you to know that you can trust us with your personal information. To demonstrate our commitment to the privacy of your information, we have adopted privacy guidelines consistent with industry standards.

1. Information Collection and Use.

Newdea requires that our Clients and the employees and volunteers of our Clients register to use our products and services. This registration process involves providing contact information, such as the individual’s name, company name, address, phone number, and e-mail address (‘Personally-Identifiable Information’).

Newdea will not sell or rent your Personally-Identifiable Information to any third parties. Newdea uses the Personally-Identifiable Information that we collect to set up services for individuals and their organizations. We may also use the information to contact individuals and Clients to further discuss interests in Newdea and the services we provide. In addition, your Personally-Identifiable Information will be hosted on Newdea’s system and may be used by your organization to create an internal contact list. Personally-Identifiable Information may at times be viewed or accessed by Newdea for the purpose of resolving a problem, support issue, or suspected violation of the terms of use or user agreement. Except for the situations listed below, Newdea will not provide your Personally Identifiable Information to third parties without first obtaining your permission.

Newdea will send Personally Identifiable Information about you to other companies or individuals when:

  • We have your consent to share the information;
  • We respond to court orders, subpoenas, or other legal or regulatory requests;
  • We need to share your information with a third party to fulfill a request from you for a product or service for which Newdea utilizes an outside provider; or
  • We find you have violated the Newdea terms of use.

In addition to Personally-Identifiable Information, our Clients provide information and data about their operations and projects within their organizations (‘Client Data’). Our Clients have the ability to designate which Client Data is private, and which Client Data is public. Newdea may review, share, distribute, print, or reference to outside parties any Client Data that is designated as public in accordance with the Newdea terms of use. Client Data also may be provided to outside parties upon the consent of Client. We may also view, access, and disclose Client Data as necessary to comply with legal or regulatory requests or as otherwise required by law.

2. Cookies.

When you use Newdea’s products and services, we send a ‘cookie’ to your computer. A cookie is a piece of information that is stored within your computer. As you browse the Internet, cookie-enabled sites will send cookies to your computer. Your browser probably has options that will let you control whether your computer accepts cookies. Newdea only uses session cookies, which exist during your browsing session and disappear from your computer when you close your browser software or turn off your computer.

The cookies we use do not identify you personally. We use cookies to make your experience with the Newdea products and services as meaningful as possible. 3. Communication from Newdea Site.

Once you have completed the initial registration process, you will be sent an email to verify your password and username. On certain occasions, it will be necessary for Newdea to send out service related announcements to notify you of scheduled maintenance or system downtime. These communications will not be promotional in nature. We may also communicate with you to respond to service requests you have.

4. Security.

Our site contains security features to protect your Personally-Identifiable Information and Client Data. The Newdea System is protected by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. SSL is a protocol that allows your computer to establish a secure connection to our Internet server. SSL uses encryption techniques that turn all information transmitted into a series of unrecognizable numbers as the information travels through the Internet. Newdea also utilizes the additional protection of a digitally-signed certificate that assures you that you are communicating with the development tools, server, security hardware, communications equipment, and all other tools and equipment used by Newdea to provide the Services (the ‘Newdea System’). The Newdea System is protected by firewall technology, which protects it against unwarranted intrusion and ensures that only approved Client requests are processed. All activity is logged and monitored to ensure that no attempts have been made to breach security. Finally, Newdea uses unique user names and passwords for each user of the Newdea System. One of the most critical ways to ensure the security of the Newdea System is to protect your username and passwords. Passwords should not be shared with anyone, whether inside or outside of your organization.

5. Notification of Changes.

Newdea reserves the right to change this privacy policy by placing an updated privacy policy online at least ten (10) days prior to its effective date. You will be informed in writing if Newdea is going to be using Personally-Identifiable Information collected form you in a manner different from that stated at the time the Personally Identifiable Information was collected.
